Bastiàn Rosé Sparkling Wine
Istria and Primorje, Croatia
It is best served as an aperitiv, but it also pairs well with shrimp tartar with strawberries and wasabi.
- 6-8 °C
This elegant rosé sparkling wine, with a protected designation of origin from Croatian Istria, is produced using the traditional method. It is made from chardonnay (60%), which contributes a pleasant freshness with notes of grapefruit and green apple, as well as a creamy structure and fullness of flavor. The Pinot Noir (40%) enriches the wine with flavors of berry fruits such as raspberry, strawberry, and blackberry, giving it a delicate pink hue and harmonious taste. The sparkling wine ferments and ages in stainless steel for nine months, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle and aging for at least 24 months. This prolonged maturation process allows for the creation of fine, long-lasting bubbles and adds more complex aromas and refinement to the wine.
