Glenmorangie The Original 12 Years is a continuation of successful and well-known The Original 10 YO.  The Original was aged for twelve years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, striving to achieve only the best. It is produced by marrying the delicate spirit that emerges from Scotland's tallest stills. The result is an elegant, complex and creamy whiskey with well-balanced sweetness. On the nose, citrus aromas such as orange with notes of ripening peaches are softened by aromas of vanilla and honey. First, vanilla is detected on the tongue before it ripples along the palate, bringing a burst of flowery fruitiness. About a minute after tasting, you are left with a clean and salving aftertaste with hints of orange and peach.
