Kali Riza is translated as "good root". The label Vieilles Vignes on the bottle stands for the old vines and depicts the name of this wine. Xinomavro is among the most famous red varieties from Greece and one of the most widespread ones. Somewhat similar to nebbiolo, it is characterized by high tannins and low pigment intensity. It is light and ages well, so it can be stored for at least 5 more years after purchase. It offers a combination of lighter red fruit and a more accentuated body, which makes this wine ideally suited to our traditional cuisine, in particular most dishes that include red meat prepared in tomato sauce.
