Borgo Conventi Luna di Ponca
Luna di Ponca is the new super-white from Borgo Conventi winery, a blend of Chardonnay, Friulano and Malvasia. Straw yellow color, with a surprising freshness and intense aromas typical of the Collio area. The bouquet begins with notes of citrus, jasmine and linden, which then develop into more mature aromas of golden apple, freshly baked bread and biscuits with butter. On the palate, the wine is complex, with a long, pleasant finish. In the first and only harvest of 2019, the best grapes from the Gradiscutta-Gorizia vineyard were selected, with extremely low yields. Friuliano matured in stainless steel, and Chardonnay and Malvasia in oak barrels. The wine was additionally matured for six months in bottles before being released on the market. Only 6,096 bottles were produced in total, so hurry to get your sample.
