Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Semis is a red wine that aims to enhance the Montepulciano grape for its great expressive capacity and character. A wine resulting from a long maceration on the skins and then ageing for 24 months in oak barriques followed by a period of 12 months in the bottle. A dark garnet red colour, with complex aromas of ripe fruit like blackberry and marasca cherry and hints of spices like black pepper and cloves. On the palate velvety, full – bodied, with great structure and a long finish. A wine for special occasions.
