At the crossroads where the spices of traditional Moroccan markets meet the craftsmanship of fine whisky-making, The Glenmorangie Tale of Spices is born. Inspired by sun-drenched markets filled with colour, warmth, and lively conversations, where the air is rich with the scent of cloves and cinnamon, and each step reveals a new spice, a new color and a new story.

The Glenmorangie Tale of Spices is the sixth release in the “A Tale Of…” series, created with the vision of making a whisky that evokes memories, one that speaks not only of the Scottish hills and oak, but also of distant lands, rich aromas, and ancient tales. Like every Glenmorangie whisky, this expression begins its journey maturing in ex-bourbon American oak casks, before continuing to French oak casks seasoned with Moroccan red wine, which infuse it with rich, spicy character. The whisky then rests in newly toasted oak casks, and finally gains its full depth and sweetness in barrels that were previously used for sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry.

Thanks to this complex maturation process, the whisky shines with a deep golden-brown hue. On the nose, it enchants with floral aromas of jasmine, rose, and clove, followed by warm spicy notes of cumin, nutmeg, pepper, and cinnamon, while undertones of chestnut and eucalyptus linger in the background. On the palate, every sip brings a surprise, it opens with a pleasant spiciness of ginger, black pepper, and mustard seed, followed by the softness of candied almonds, chocolate, and caramel. The finish is long and elegant, with gentle hints of clove and leather, and a pleasant peppery freshness.
