Fans of this exceptional variety will be immediately aware why Plešivica is considered one of the best regions for pinot noir. A variety that likes a fresh climate, in which its lightness will not flow into the excess of jammy aromas. If acid is more pronounced at a young age, it will be easier to withstand time and develop in the desired direction.
Kurtalj Pinot noir is a good example of pinot noir from Plešivica. Tannins are low and of good ripeness, acids are persistent and elevated, but not overcooked. The fruity aromas are reminiscent of kirsh and pronounced cherry aromas such as those in hard candy. Pinot will show off its exceptional aromas of black tea and hummus.
