Plénitude 2 is the second life of Dom Pérignon. After almost 15 years of slow transformation in basements, it continues to grow through all dimensions - wider, deeper, longer, more intense with extended longevity.
The year 1996 was full of contrasts, with a variable summer. Eventually, in the month before the harvest, spells of hot weather and northeasterly winds gave the vintage an unusual maturity.
Dom Pérignon Rosé P2 1996 has a strong pink colour, and lots of Mediterranean notes like dried roses, citron, saffron, figs and bay leaf. The bouquet expresses darker, silvery notes that are briny and peppery. On the palate dominate raspberry,strawberry and cherry, and the wine vibrates between freshness and gravity.The acidity brings freshness but is not dominant.The finish is smooth with appealing bitterness of spicy citrus and some red fruits.
