Salmos is a tribute to the monks of the Carthusian order who planted the first vines in Priorat. Natural challenges such as steep slopes, poor soil and temperature differences between days and nights contribute to the elegane and complexity of the wine made out of Grenache and Cariñena. The maceration of twelve days is followed by alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new, for fourteen months. Deep ruby red color, the wine is intense and elegant on the nose. It is rich in aromas of berry fruits, dried figs, plums and marzipan. Seductive on the palate with fine and well-balanced tannins and a long-lasting finish, enriched by toasty notes and aromas of a cedar and an oak.
