  • Diaporos pairs exceptionally well with richly flavoured dishes and robust textures. It is an excellent match for dry-aged beef steaks, slow-roasted lamb, game such as venison or wild boar, and duck breast served with a forest berry sauce. It also complements mushroom-based dishes, truffles, and mature hard cheeses such as Parmesan, Pecorino, and aged Cheddar.

  • 16-18 °C

Diaporos is a dry red wine made from 87% Xinomavro and 13% Syrah, bearing the PGI Imathia designation. It is produced from carefully selected grapes sourced from the finest vineyard sites of Kir-Yianni Estate in Naoussa, with the Xinomavro originating from a vineyard block renowned for its exceptional quality and outstanding potential. The grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used. Each variety is vinified separately before the wine is aged for up to 16 months in French oak barrels and blended into its final cuvée. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour with purple reflections. The nose is complex and elegant, offering aromas of ripe strawberries, violets, vanilla and chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, powerful and well-structured, with firm tannins balanced by refreshing acidity. The Syrah contributes sweet spice and peppery notes that beautifully complement the characteristic backbone of the Xinomavro, adding depth and a long, persistent finish. This is a complex and concentrated wine with remarkable ageing potential, destined to evolve gracefully over the years. The vintage 2020. won Grand Gold Medal at the CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES 2026.
