Mala Nevina is a very popular wine from the Saint Hills winery. It is a blend of malvasia and chardonnay and comes from the vineyards of Sv. Ante belonging to the Tolj family in Istria. The wine is made in Dalmatia at the Saints Hills winery where it also undergoes fermentation and aging. In many ways, this wine is a fresh version of Nevina, the successful first blend from the Sv. Ante vineyard. The blend is dominated by three-quarters of Istrian malvasia, while the purpose of chardonnay is to round the wine and make it fuller. However, it is dominated by the varietal aromas of malvasia. At first, the wine is floral on the nose, followed by ripe fruit, and eventually revealing a hint of tropical fruit. There is a very slight, pleasant bitterness in the mouth.
