One of the most important autochthonous varieties of Sicily from one of the most important wineries in Sicily. Plumbago is a wine from the Nero d'Avola variety, named after the flower - Plumbago - that grows around the winery. The grapes come from the Ulmo vineyard in Menfi and are vinified in steel pots after which they spend only 10 months in the oak, in barrels used several times. It is elegant and has a stable structure. It preserves its floral notes and a mixture of aromas of red and black berries well. Care should be taken when pairing because too rich food easily spoils the elegance of this wine.
