Planeta Didacus Cabernet Franc is produced in Menfi, and the grapes come from 20 years old vineyards, planeted by Diego Planeta. Grapes are hand-harvested at the end of September. After the detailed grapes selection, follows the fermentation in three different vessels, tonneaux (500 l), barrels and stainless steel.The wine is then aged in selected Saury/Seguin Moreau barriques for 20 months.
The wine has a deep, intense purple colour. Nose is very complex with vibrant aromas of leather, spices and cocoa and ripe red fruits, bluberry and plum, with some notes of Mediterranean herbs and dried flowers. On the palate the wine is intense and full – bodied,  with an elegant balance between velvety, dense tannis and fresh acidity. The finish is long and intense.
