Terrazas Chardonnay is created as a blend from more than ten parcels from high-altitude estate vineyards (from 1230 to 1650m), in Uco Valley. The grapes are harvested early and fresh, at their peak of fruit expression. Once pressed, the must is racked and fermentation begins. In the middle of the fermentation the must is moved to the oak barrels to finish the fermentation. Malolactic fermentation is partially carried out to preserve freshness and crispiness. After 8 months of oak aging on lees, the wine is bottled.
Terrazas Chardonnay is an elegantly aromatic, fresh and expressive wine. Juicy scents of yellow peach and pear dominate the bouquet, followed by notes of grapefruit and citrus peel. On the palate fruit flavors are balanced by fresh acidity. The finish is long, with subtle brioche notes.
