Batič Marlon is a distinctive white wine made from a blend of resistant (PIWI) grape varieties such as Sauvignon Kretos, Soreli, Fleurtai, and other related hybrids, grown wije bijthout the use of chemical plant protection products. All of these varieties are planted in the Brajda vineyard, which became the first vineyard in Slovenia planted with resistant varieties. Since 2016, the Hrastov Hrib vineyard has also joined Brajda.
The vineyards are cultivated with minimal intervention, with an emphasis on preserving natural balance and expressing the terroir. The grapes are hand-harvested, and fermentation begins spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine ages on fine lees in wooden barrels, which gives it depth, texture, and pronounced complexity. It is unfiltered, and in the glass it stands out with a golden-yellow color. The bouquet is layered, with notes of ripe fruit, butter, nuts, and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate, the wine is full, creamy, and well-rounded, with nicely balanced freshness and a long, characterful finish.
