The wine is made from grapes grown on thirty-year-old vines in vineyards with naturally low yields, located on the rocky slopes of the Luberon. The soil is predominantly clay-limestone. This is a blend of Syrah and Grenache. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats (3 to 5 weeks), followed by againg in french oak barrels (30% new oak).

The wine has a deep purple-ruby color. Highly concentrated with an expressive nose dominated by ripe, jammy fruit and notes of light tobacco. Initially sweet and fruity, it later reveals complexity with notes of sweet spices, leather and black olives. The tannins are well integrated.
