The wine is made from thirty year old grapevines from vineyards with a naturally reduced yield, which are situated on the rocky slopes of Luberon. The soil is mostly loamy-limestone. This is a cuvée of syrah and black grenache with fully removed stems, fermented in wooden containers for 3-5 weeks depending on the vineyard. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, 30% being oak barrels and 70% used barrels filled for the second time. It is deep purple-ruby in color. Very concentrated with an expressive on the nose, dominated by more mature, jam-like fruit with notes of light tobacco. Initially sweet and fruity, later showing a layered character, sweet spices, leather and black olives. The tannins have completely softened. The aging potential is up to 10 years.
