Planeta Etna Rosso
A rare opportunity to taste one noble, ancient vine of Sicily - Nerello Mascalese. The planetary winery Feudo di Mezzo is located in the heart of the Etna vineyards, and the grapes for Etna Rosso come from the Pietramarina vineyard. The extinct volcano Etna created incredibly rich, mineral soil by the decay of volcanic rocks and ash deposits from earlier eruptions. At an altitude of 510 meters, the grapes retain their freshness and fruit acidity. It is close in character to Pinot Noir. Aromas of sour cherries, wild strawberries and vanilla from oak barrels, with pronounced freshness, lighter body and only a shade stronger tannins than most Pinot, the wine is a real surprise.
