La Louve, meaning “the she-wolf” in French, is a name that the winery chose for this line of wines as a reference to the ancient legend of Romulus and Remus and times long past. The refinement and elegance of these wines are further enhanced by aging in small barrique barrels, which contribute to their distinctive harmony and depth. For fermentation, bourguignonne barrels made of French oak from Burgundy are used. During the aging process, bâtonnage is applied to enrich the wine’s layered aromatic profile. La Louve Riesling is expressive and deep, displaying a golden hue. On the nose, it offers notes of candied fruit, vanilla, and honey. Its complexity continues on the palate, where citrus aromas are beautifully complemented by flavors of baked apples and pears, with a subtle nutty undertone. The balance of fruitiness and gentle floral notes extends gracefully into a long, elegant finish.
